Flight ideas near or out of Lewistown, Montana?

Is that the only good hunting area that interests you? I choose not to go there, as I have found many, many other great places.
😂 Ha no, but to say that being flown into a land locked chunk of ground is cheating seems to be quite ridiculous to me. Other than it being harder to access it's the same as driving to a trailhead or taking an atv trail. You still have to put in the work once you're on the ground.

Flying in can add to the story or adventure. It's not like you are shooting one out of the pickup window. People want to do everything they can to add to the experience. Shoot if flying into a land locked piece if public land can get you away from the droves of public land hunting then have at it.

I’m not so sure that is the case anymore with this particular fly-in, and most popular ones in general. I know guys who have done this one every year for the last 5 or 10 who are calling it quits due to the amount of people and the cost to get in and out… but I’m hoping others are doing the same as them and @Hammsolo has a great experience!

For this particular area I definitely agree. I dont think there is a spot that you aren't tripping over people that isn't private land. But there are other less known areas that people can do fly in hunts.
It was more of the "flying is cheating" that I was getting at.

I have looked into it and decided that I would rather spend my money on other things.

I think this changed in the legislature in 2025.

Now the 24 hour wait is if you spot or locate wildlife on your flight in.
Keep your eyes closed on landing you should be good…

(e) spot or locate a game animal or fur-bearing animal and communicate the location of the game animal or fur-bearing animal to any person as an aid to hunting:

(i) while in, using, or operating an aircraft; or

(ii) within 24 hours after utilizing an aircraft.

(ii) isn’t the same thing in question?
