First stag of the new season

I'm not a fan of hunting them when they are in velvet, but there have been so many damaging/eating the crops one had to go.
Season started on 1st August.
This is the exit wound, .243 80 grain copper 3100' fps
Top of the heart and lung, ran 75 yards and fell over.
Now I can get back to a bit of fishing!

Looks like you have been busy. Where is that 308 Sako? I thought that was your new Red Stag rifle?
 
nice trout. when this covid mess is behind us, I'm coming to your side of the pond. daughter came over 3-4 yrs ago and went up into scotland. she loved Scotland
