My brothers and I just returned from our first African hunting safari that I had the winning bid on at an RMEF banquet. We hunted out of Kimberley, South Africa , everyone got the game they were after. The weather was quite cold, even snowing one day and the landscape was an arid plain. It was great fun although for now once is enough for me. I know some people get Africa in the blood, but I prefer hunting in the states better as I like being my own guide and the animals seem to be in a more natural setting. The bullet pictured is a 150 grain nosler partition recovered from the wildebeest at 150 yes. The 2 guns we used were both 270 winchesters and all animals were one shot kills except for one of the gems buck. Our group in total got 3 gemsbuck, a kudu, a wildebeest, 2 impala and 2 warthogs.
