First day looking for Morels

Took off a little early today. Wanted to go for a hike with my wife and look for Morels. We lucked into a fair haul for how much time we had and ground covered. Looking forward to getting out some more.

I found 2-1/2 LBS Thursday and another 1/2 LB Friday.
Had a big feed last evening.

We do best looking around dead elm trees.

Varies depending on where and what kind. We started doing what was recommended in parts of the country where morels are common. None of that was true in GA.

I found some yellows this morning here in central Iowa.

Wife and I had a steady pick at 4,000ft in the Sierra last week, pulled 6lbs. Should be getting prime right now.
