First day looking for Morels

Took off a little early today. Wanted to go for a hike with my wife and look for Morels. We lucked into a fair haul for how much time we had and ground covered. Looking forward to getting out some more.

Had a big feed last evening.

Varies depending on where and what kind. We started doing what was recommended in parts of the country where morels are common. None of that was true in GA.

I've only ever found one wild and it was on the land I sold last year. I was running a weedeater and I saw it it just as I swung the weedeater into it before I could stop the motion.

We usually target the burns from the previous year, but last year was pretty fire-free so will have to do a little hunting.
