Last week I bow hunted wapiti in Fiorldand, NZ. Great weather with only 2.5 days of rain over the 8 day trip, very good for one of the wettest places in the world)

The area we hunted had both red deer, wapiti (elk) and hybrids. We had a lot of roaring and wapiti bugling. Saw 28 animals, including 5 good young wapiti Bulls but all left as they need a few more years to be great trophies.

I still am getting used to seeing folks hunt in shorts. ;) :D

Shorts are the way to go. I might get a few wierd looks in WY this fall :)
 
Great pics...run the shorts in Wyoming and let the guys with big baggy heavy pants struggle once they get off the trailhead!
