Whats your favorite all terrain tire? Time to put some new shoe's on the truck. Been running Hankooks and got over 60K miles on them and might buy again, but always looking for others opinions. Especially from CO boys who know how greasy the mud is here

I had great luck from a set of Michelin LTX's. They were on the truck when I bought it and I put 80K on them myself.

Well I had the factory Goodyear wranglers on my f150 and got 60k out of both sets but at $1400 it was time to find something new. Went with hankooks myself last year. They do good and are still quiet just don't know what kind of mileage to expect. Good to see your getting that many miles

I had factory tires on my '10 Dodge but the fronts cupped due to an alignment issue and operater inattentiveness, so I switched to a size bigger Goodyear Wrangler 10 ply AT/S.. Negatively impacted fuel economy, a little noisey, and the tread fills up with mud as slick as a whistle.

...but man do they look good.:(

8-10plys are the name of the game for running the breaks country here. Hankooks are pretty popular up here, as are Yokohama. I run Cooper Zeons (not real impressed but got a good deal). A lot of the BLM and CMR guys run Goodyear DuraTrac and speak pretty highly of them.

I've been running the 10 ply Nittos on my trucks with good luck. Heavy tire with good load ratings and I"ve been getting 60K + out of a set with lots of trailer pulling. Had several pairs of the terra grappler and the dura grappler over the last 10+ years on my Dodge 2500's. Next I'm going to try the trail grappler.

Last set I bought thebest price I found was Discount tire in Ft. Collins. I'd think the Mud or Trail Grappler would be what you are looking for.

if youve got greasy mud id recomend bfg mud ta's,,,Ive been running them for years,,,gone thru a few sets,,,for the traction they are pretty quiet,,,fair tread life,,,awesome in the snow,,good in mud,,,,also they are the only ones out there with 3 ply sidewalls,,,in case its rocky,,,amers tire is the place w best price,,,im runnin them on both of my trucks and wouldnt run anything else IMO.

J, I really like the Goodyear Wrangler AT's on the F250, they are a little spendy though.

I've been meening to ask you how you liked them. They arent a whole lot more than the Hankooks Only thing was I couldnt get them in a 10ply

Too me it depends on what type of truck you are putting them on. If it is a 1/2 ton, LOTS of selections. If you are running a 3/4 or 1 ton diesel, then things change dramatically just do to weight and tire compound.

However there are few "AT's" that I think you can use as performance in the same sentence as "greasy mud". I am a firm believer in the Toyo MT's and the Pro Comp MT's. Soley for mileage, because I have a 1 ton. Granted I only need a MT 10-15% of the time, but I can remember several times hunting the breaks where the hunting partners trucks were parked along side the road and mine was the only source of transpo. All of the parked trucks were running AT's....

I do know several people that do like the the Hankook Dynatracs on their diesels, tho.

I'm really liking the Cooper AT-3 tires I have now. I noticed Fin is running a set of these as well. They have a great mileage warranty as well. I never get the mileage running them on my diesel but if I do the rotates they pro rate the next set. Good deal. We'll see how long these babies run.

I just called about those and they are cheap, only $200 a tire for a 10 ply with 55,000 warranty! Sounds like just what I need for my F150

thanks again guys for the inputs
