Family day of hunting.

Posted this on another site but thought some of you might appreciate it too.

This past Sunday my wife and I took the kids and some good friends of ours for a pheasant hunt. The birds weren't overly cooperative but we made the most of it and ended up with 4 roosters and 2 grouse. Got to eat dinner on the tailgate of the pickup, enjoy the beautiful weather, did a bit of target practice with an old .22 single shot, and generally had a good time.

Here I am with my 2-1/2 year old daughter capping for the walkers above. I was sincerely hoping that nothing would come my way as I wasn't sure I could pull off a one-handed shot while holding my hunting partner who was SOUNDLY sleeping. ;)

Looks like a perfect day and some birds to go with. Great to see your whole family enjoying being outdoors and a bonus looks like they all like to hunt. I don't have kids yet but hope I'm lucky enough to share days like this with my kids. I already know my wife is out of the question. She can stay in the car though...
