The 3500 is a lot more pack than you would think, I have used it for 5 day trips and could of made room for more . I seriously considered the 5500 but now glad I got the 3500. It's a awesome pack, I packed out a cow moose with mine the first year I had it and couldn't believe how comfortable it was with a heavy load.
