I've done about a bunch of euro mounts but there has got to be a few tricks I haven't caught on to yet.

1. How do you ensure you get the whole skull bleached without getting any peroxcide on the bottom of the antlers?

2. After a year or so my skulls have gotten a bit yellowish even though I had them real white when I pulled them out of the solution. Did I not let them sit long enough in the bleach? Any tricks to getting a pure, lasting bleach on a mount?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Try this, get the gel 40 volume developer from a salon. Brush on a thick coat and wrap in some plastic bags to lessen the drying. Leave 24hrs. Rinse off and recoat if you want. Tried it this year on three heads and won't go back to the liquid. More cost effective as well.
Another thing I tried is a pressure washer instead of cutting and scraping between boils. Works great

Avoid the rolling boil too, I have had better results simmering. The skulls that have the most grease blotching are the ones that got away from me on the boil. I also like brushing on the 40 vol peroxide and have had best result with the powerwasher as well.

OK, but after you become a "true blond", how does do the Euro mounts ?

Like Schmalts said I use black plastic bags and wrap the skull. Then leave it in the sun for a day or two. I think the heat has some sort of helping effect. Good luck
