We have a Whitetail hunt coming up so we have been going out and scouting. On this particular morning we had parked the truck and started climing a nice size mountain and glassing on the way up. All of the sudden a nice six by showed up in my bino's. I could'nt believe it, we are at 5200 ft and in the desert and the is a nice elk. We glassed up another 6 by a 5 by a spike, and 8 cows later in the morning. Unbelievable feeling. Well we only saw a few whitetail probably cause we were so focused on elk.
