Anyone hunt that area recently? Just looking for general info on population status, glassable terrain vs thick timber, weather, etc... Will the breaks along the salmon river hold any elk in mid October? We're not looking for a trophy, we'd be thrilled with any legal bull. We're planning on backpack hunting. Thanks in advance.
