DWR acquires Book Cliffs roadless area

It seems weird for one state agency to sell land to another state agency, but I am glad it is going to the UDWR for permanent protection as a wildlife habitat management area, sans mineral development. Way better than remaining with their school trust administration to generate funding for schools (i.e. selling to the highest bidder).

I'm usually pointing out the unfavorable actions and sales of the SITLA Board in Utah. Not sure if this was driven by UTDWR or SITLA. Whoever made it happen deserves a lot of kudos. Great news for hunters and recreationists. Very glad too see it.
