Drought for the west

I’ve never seen a winter like this. I’m looking at Mount Jefferson as I type this and the amount of exposed rock on the east face is wild. We need a miracle February and March or the Cascades are going to be tinder by June, and the forecast is not looking hopeful.
Peak snow pack is typically May. So we have time to at least get closer to normal, but we need a wholesale change in weather patterns

Winter recreation (skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing) have been non-existent. Now my next concern is our reservoirs and lake-based recreation this summer with minimal runoff and higher needs on the front range

Nor was it a good year for family season ski passes :(
1 day so far on my senior weekday pass. Viewing the purchase as GoFundMe for my smallish local area. Maybe April conditions will be worth some days. Monarch just opened a 50% expansion of their existing acreage. Waiting 12 years for this, but conditions are so marginal I'm still waiting for at least another foot before satisfying my curiosity back there.
