Dove 2026

We're officially one week away from dove opener. It'll almost certainly be hot, I'll probably shoot way to many shells for a limit, and I'm looking forward to every minute of it! Me and a good friend are gonna head down to SW Oklahoma for a day and a half of dove hunting. Then we're gonna head over to a lake in South central OK to fish for striper for a couple days.



What's everyone else's plans?

Heading down to southeast Indiana for a long Labor Day weekend of dove hunting with friends that live there. We'll be hunting a mix of public & private ground.

On the way down I'm going to check some of the public ground in northern Indiana that has planted fields for possible day hunts throughout the season if I have free time.

Plan to have a gun with me as I scout the desert for elk. Might just find a bird, or two. Best of luck to you. I miss a good dove hunt from my days of living MO. Not the same in western Wyo.
