Daughter number one just called. "Dad, the boys were over at the neighbors and they came back with pitch on then and they are a mess."
Last summer at the cabin they managed to do the same thing and even had it in their hair so I grabbed some of gram's hand sanitizer. Bingo!

Any of you dads or grampas have any tips of the trade for these type of things other than the tried and true tomato juice for skunks, etc?

Gasoline works good.

That it does. Have used it on my hands before. Just guessing gramps wouldn't be very popular if I told her to use gas and take them into the house. New husband has them cleaned up, bathed and ready for bed. He is going to buy me a beverage for this.

Paint thinner.

Have used butter. It worked well when I used to cut firewood to heat the house.

Carpenters I used to work with said peanut butter. Fingernail polish remover also works.
