I was reloading 7mm Rem Mag with the Lee Wack A Mole style reloader at the dining room table.
My girl friend (wife now) put a quick end to that! Lol

Yep, Christmas day when I was 18. I received a RCBS Rock chucker kit and some components. I read the steps in the reloading manual several times and then proceeded to load 1 round 22-250. I drove outside of town and shot that one bullet. When it shot normally, I was relieved and pretty proud. I've been reloading ever since. And, I still have and use that RC press.

My uncle taught me when I was 13. 270 wsm. Still got the gun and some of the brass. Parents got me a Lee kit that was super cheap and made thousands of rounds. It's all been majorly upgraded over the 25 years.

Bought a s&w .500 revolver in college because I thought it was cool. Quickly learned college kids can’t afford ammo for that gun with other important things to spend money on. Bought a rock chucker kit and proceeded to load hundreds of rounds for that gun. Now I reload for maybe 10 different calibers and I still love doing it 23 years later.

I think many of us can say this quite easily but prob better said "and still have my hands and loads".
Very nice. Haven’t gotten into making rounds myself bout would like to eventually.

Loaded 592 rounds of 270 win in the last few days. Should get me through antelope opener..

That would last me a lifetime in a hunting rifle.
Im working on building the brass pile to start loading 270. Got a lot of 300 win mag ive loaded.

Should last a good while but this rifle is used a lot by myself and my family and also as a loaner to people I take out. I believe the last time I loaded for this rifle was in 20 or 21 and I loaded like 400ish rounds.
The rounds in the picture are .270 WSM. I have a love hate relationship with the rifle but am hanging on to it. Was fortunate to score a couple hundred Norma casing to load for it
My BIL always says “You can’t kill em if you ain’t shootin”.

No, it was too long ago. Can't remember if it was 38 Special/357 Mag or 7mm Rem mag, well over 40 years ago. Beware, it is addicting.

My dad let me try my hand at reloading 22-250 shells when I was about 8 years old with a Classic Lee Loader kit.
I accidentally flipped a primer and when I hit it with the hammer to seat it, it went off, with my entire family sitting 10 feet away.
I wonder how often things like that happen to kids in today’s world….Lol

.223 Rem with a 60gr Nosler Partition with H335 using the Lee loader. Made a pile of dummy rounds before I trusted the process enough. Shot five rounds and they all went off and grouped well. Fell in love right then. Loaded these as a freshman in college, 17 years ago. I only had a .223 and was invited to hunt some family land in a rifle zone, after screwing around in a slug zone for the first 6 years of my deer hunting.
Literally the next thing I bought for reloading was a box of reloading goodies from an older acquaintance for $50. In that box was Forster Co-Ax, three sets of dies, and other odds and ends.
Sold the Lee loader to my buddy at the time who’s girlfriend cussed me out for the noise but then redeemed herself when she asked what he needed for this new hobby that wouldn’t be so loud at their kitchen table in their apartment.
I’ve used that old Co-Ax to reload thousands of .357 mag, hundreds of .44mag and thousands of rifle rounds. I won’t ever let it go. Just recently upgraded to a Dillon 550 for revolver rounds.
