Since moving to Michigan, my big game hunting has taken a big hit and so duck hunting has been the thing that has kept me busy. My buddy that I hunt with pretty much only hunts divers on the Great Lakes and it is totally different hunting. The gear is all different and we hunt from layout boats which is something I've never done. It is a ton of fun though as when the ducks commit, they are right in your face! Here are a few pictures from the past 2 years.

Here are a few more pics. We shoot a variety of birds including bluebills, long tails, scoters, goldeneyes and buffleheads.

How do they taste? Never had a diver.

Some are good, others just ok, and others terrible. Redheads, canvasbacks and bluebills are all pretty good. Most of the other ones just get ground up and made into sausage. Mix in enough pork and they taste just great. :D

Great pic's love duck hunting. what part of Mich. are you from.

Actually I am a North Dakota native. Living near Ann Arbor right now but will be moving out of there next summer. 203 days to go!
