Is there anyway to make hyper links any color other than black? I like to embed links within text, but unless you slide the cursor over the word, it is hard to realize there is an actual link.

I'm not sure how to do it... But I agree. I miss every link embedded. I'm just not bright enough to find them

Instead of running your finger under every word (and making a mess on your monitor), just use your mouse pointer to run under every word....
