I’m the one to blame. It was a follow up shot and I rushed it.

I’m glad it held together. It actually makes it an interesting trophy.I also appreciate your humility. Many would tell a tall tale about it just having the hole.

Not grandson's usual impressive trophy buck, but an interesting smaller muley. From the broken antler, it looks like this young buck got his butt kicked earlier.

I’ve been getting pics of this buck for two years. About the time he shed velvet, he disappeared. I caught him at last light on the edge of a cut bean field. 300 WBY, 180 Accubond. Had good blood, but awful thick so we let Pete, the Bavarian, do his thing. 240 pounds, live weight. NE Louisiana
