My cost-benefit analyses from last year (replying to you here rather than the older thread) suggest this is one of, if not, the most reasonable ($) / trophy quality fly-in 'bou hunts in the state...if you can draw the tag.
Folks generally have either:
1) limited time but less limited $ = fly in and out.
2) less limited time but limited money = ???
3) limited time and limited money = weekend/long weekend hike in and out.
[If you're not limited by time or money, you're either incredibly lucky or retired]
When I applied, I thought if I got lucky I would hike-in. After some research and soul searching, I convinced myself I could fit in category #2 and flew in with Wright's. One flight, two guys, all the gear that could be needed, a borrowed raft, ~10 days, <$1,000.
I didn't end up with a monster, but a respectable bull, along with a heckuva time in some grand scenery.
