Me, a second generation immigrant when others try to come to America

I'll go ahead and move this bs thread toward its logical conclusion.
Only TAX PAYING (for federal elections) LAND OWNERS (for state and local) HAVE ANY RIGHT TO VOTE. Allowing unidentified non contributors the "right" to vote how the tax money taken from the contributors is distributed has created an army of GIMMEDATS who only show up to the poles because they want more of other people's money via government programs.
Screw the ID, bring your tax return or property tax receipt. If your payment for the previous tax year is less than $1 tough shit, you do not have a place at the decision making table.

There is talk about requiring passports for voting. Dep of State (Marco Rubio) controls the issuing of passports. Voter data and records are being seized, social media is being mined to document opposition to this administration. Not a huge leap to realize that targeted voter suppression is the goal here, though this outage might not be related...

RIP Democracy. Long live the Monarchy.
I support needing to show government photo I.D. to vote. The I.D. should be free to obtain and available at multiple government locations and the transition should be four years rather than a few months. Should be valid for 20 years.

The recent strategy is fueled to suppress voters likely to vote D. Like it or not, everyone eligible to vote should be encouraged to vote. As soon as start to disenfranchise legitimate voters then democracy suffers. Some voters are land owners, some are not. Some are wealthy. Some live on the streets. Some have PhDs while some can’t read. Some fly planes and some raise cattle.

They all deserve to vote. Trust the Founding fathers who not only rejected a dictator and a hereditary king but after creating three branches to share power they did not merely allow for the more exclusive Senate of 2 Senators per state but also the more pedestrian House based on population. Voters were not subject to a loyalty test nor to have advanced education.

Get to photo identification in a structured process that is not a crappy disenfranchisement rapidly implemented.

Huh? Check your history. “Trust the founding fathers.” The founding fathers did not think that everyone deserved to vote.

The First Presidential election. Voters must be white male landowners over the age of 21. States were given the power to regulate their own voting laws and in some states, Catholics, Jews, and Quakers were barred from voting.

Yes, the illiterate homeless man should be given equal representation for how the money TAKEN from productive individuals and businesses, (under threat of incarceration/confiscation) is utilized "for the greater good".

Tell me you're connected to public education without telling me you're connected to public education....
