CVA Muzzleloaders & Conical bullets

According to the CVA Optima manual, conical bullets over 400 grains should not be used. Does anyone have experience in this matter. I just ordered some "no excuses" bullets that exceed the 400 grain limit. Is this a safety issue?

No experience with the CVA but you should love the No Excuses 460. I get sub 3" groups at 100yds with a Williams peep sight shooting prone. Loading Alliant Black MZ lit by a Rem #11 cap. Thats out of a older Knight with a Green Mtn barrel.

Good luck, I've been nothing but thrilled with Dave's bullet.
