Crappie perking up

I did a lot of catfishing in June with family and friends after the crappie spawn wound down. Crappie fishing gets real slow for a spell after the spawn but they are now showing signs of life. Still not wide open, had to hit a half dozen spots to put a catch together. It should just get better from now through Fall.

No and have never hooked one incidentally fishing for catfish. I hear about a few being caught every year, largest being in the 7' range.
