I remember native guys out in the villages shooting moose with the 222. Back in the early 60s. Shoot the moose a little high and back a little. Get one lung. Moose feels bad, gets out of the water, lays down under a spruce tree. Have a couple smokes, sneak in a shoot him in the back of the head.

Love the old boxes. Have some as well for my 300 HH, just seemed appropriate.

My uncle gave me his late 60s/early 70s 700 in 222 Rem for my high school graduation. I still have some of the original ammo I got with the rifle.
