OK, have looked but can't find an answer to this question. anyone have an answer?

what takes precedence in free speech? the constitution? or a seperate "Terms of Use" agreement? have some idiots getting out of hand on another board with comments about assination, major racial slurs that embarassed me, and other out of line comments.

these people have been told to stop, or get banned from the site. they are talking about a lawsuit if they get banned for violating their freedom of speech rights.

anyone have an answer or opinion?

The Constitution only restricts what the gooberment can and can't do. You as a private party cannot be sued for violation of someone's constitutional rights. There are civil suits that can be raised, but you have warned them to tone down the crap and they still refuse. Who are they commenting on assassinating? Heck, talking about assassinating someone could be seen as conspiracy to commit murder. If they are talking about Obamessiah then just turn the SS onto them.

Some of you have been warned about your language and the use of racial slurs on the forums. No more warning will be given! Any future racial stereotyping and/or name calling will result in an immediate and permanent ban.



No doubt the outcome of the elections yesterday creates the potential for difficult times ahead for hunting privileges and gun ownership rights in America. But to win the battles ahead, we can not present ourselves as the lunatic fringe. If the perception is created that “all” hunters engage in racial slurs, profane language, and the like, we’ll forever alienate the majority of America who we must bring into our camp. Remember, only about 10% of Americans are hunters. Another 10% are the whacked out animal rights types. It’s the 80% in the middle who will decide our future! If we turn them against us – our goose is cooked.



Look, the NAHC is a club full of great ambassadors to the hunting and outdoors community. We actively inform our members of legislative news in every issue of the magazine as well as with frequent news items on the web site. Having those messages undermined by posters using racial slurs as their point of emphasis is not doing anyone any favors.



The most recent issue of North American Hunter covered the hunter’s reasons for supporting the McCain/Palin ticket. If you would like to continue debating each side’s policies, please do so on their merits, and not the color of their skin. If you can not manage to make your point without using such language, take your opinions else where. This includes the more alarming discussions some folks have participated in regarding assassination attempts on any politician. I think we can all agree that that sort of rhetoric will only play into a stronger case for stricter gun control laws as opposed to promoting our hunting heritage. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea … we don’t want as part of the NAHC anyway.



We owe it to the NAHC Membership and to America’s heritage to closely monitor and filter these forums. We can’t allow what’s posted here to damage our cause in the long run even more than the new political landscape might!



Be responsible with what you say on the forums; if things get heated, stop, take a breath, and think before you respond. You can’t take back things as easily once they are posted to a forum.

OR I will be banned permanently from the site!

What ever happened to Freedom of Speech!?!?

I guess the NAHC is bought and paid for by the Democratic party and the Socialist in Charge, Barack Hussein Obama!!!!

How pathetic, that a hunting site such as this, wants to limit our Freedoms!

Heres the deal the admins/owners on the other site are just pussies,
let them take you to court cause it would be funner than shit to goto court with nutjobs form the internet. dude If I dont get 2-5 lawsuits a year from websites then I start to feel guilty. I have gotten lawyer letters to I just spell out FU in ig bold print and mail it back of course signed by me to make it legal.

On a real site were the admins arent pussies they basically are dictators. They own the site the run the site they can do anything they want with the site.

Hey its been boring lately have them sign the site over to me for a while I will clean up there shit and I love to f with lawyers and idiots.
