I've been wanting to do this for quite awhile. I got a call last week from a Columbia guide wanting a trip on Brownlee. We arranged to swap trips. He had been doing well jigging pre-spawn fish. The fish were in transition and we only jigged up a few. We went to trolling plugs and that was slow for us but we did scratch out a few. He said come back in November and it will be much better. First walleye I've caught since about 40 years ago on Lake Powell.

I caught a walleye once. Looking forward to trying again. Guide we had left those bones in it behind the rib cage and eating was awfull. Know to remove them now.

This guy made a short 1"cut on each side of the lateral line and stripped the top and bottom loins off the pin bone section. Real slick.
Here's a video of a slick way to remove those bones and salvage as much meat as possible. Once you do the last step at the end, it will be ompletely bone-free.
