The hot, smoky weather recently has me thinking about cooler times. I remembered this video from a couple of winters ago of a bull elk wading an Idaho river. Despite at times being submerged to his ribs, he seemed to be in no hurry to get back on dry land. We watched from a long distance for a while but he never tried to get to shore. I still wonder why he was in the river in those conditions.
