Yes, it is. CO Points can not be acquired any other way than through not drawing a first choice hunt or via applying using the preference point hunt code as your first choice.

And to note - deadline is 8:00pm MDT this year, not midnight as in years past

Yes, and I believe you have to purchase the hunting license as well

If you don't receive your first draw option do you automatically gain a preference point? I don't see an option to apply for a point unless you put it as your first choice.
