Have a couple hunting trips coming up where I'll be spending 5 days in wilderness at elevation. From Google Earth there are alot of ponds and streams....a lot. Since I'll be packing in a lot already, I'd like to bring a fishing rig. So my question to experienced folks is...

1. What would you recommend for a good collapse-able fishing rig?

2. What lure(s) should I use and what type of fish are there to pursue?

Obviously my focus will be hunting but I want to make sure when I have time that I could wet a line and maybe land a fish or two as well.

Thanks

The Daiwa kit is cheap enough that you don't worry if you break something. Can find them through Wal Mart or online.

Rooster tails or Panther Martins or Mepps spinners . Powerbait and a treble hook if you are going to eat everything you catch. As always consult local regulations.

Mountain fish are small but mighty..
