Christmas Prairie Dogs

How often can you shoot prairie dogs in Montana in December while in your shirtsleeves? We may be headed into another global warming drought, but when the weather is this good, you have to pack the truck and go shoot prairie dogs...

I thought I was done shooting them for the year. This makes me want to go check out a few more spots.

What distances?

The top rifle is a Browning “T” bolt in 17 HMR, not a real long range gun. Most of those shots were about 100 yards. The other rifles are 223 and 6mm PPC and those were mostly 200-300 yards...

The last few weeks have been warm for sure.
We what been doing a little Pdoggen too.
The little buggers are on a big high the last few years, there in places I have hunted for 50 years and never found pdogs.
I love it when the snow is all pristine white in January on a crystal clear day full sun and run across a town.
