Religion and Politics day on HT. Will we survive? Last Friday before Christmas 2025.
Ecumenical thread, of course. The only thing not allowed is Lamb can't post any of that Springsteen junk. We know he will do it anyway....
I grew up in a hyper-conservative home. I was raised to believe that "Do you hear what I hear?" was liberal claptrap and JFK should have sunk all those Russian ships in 1962.
I could never listen to the song without a smirk until Todd Agnew appropriated it in 2006 for the best Christmas album ever recorded, "Do You See What I See?"
The album is a Nativity Opera, with the songs highlighting the POV of each of the players in the story.
I performed and promoted Christian music for a long time on a local scale. Concerts, weddings, church worship and the like. Like hunting, it has suffered from becoming an "industry". I still hunt, and I still sing and play; but that's it. Never going to be an influencer in either industry.
TLDR I suppose. Shut up and post some music, Mark.

This gives me chills every time. Hard to believe it is 19 years old now. It is right up there with Handel's Messiah for me.
In The First Light is the finale of the production.
