My wife and I recently moved from Montana to Omaha. I'm not going to lie, hunting areas around Omaha are very hard to come by, and I am really itching to get out for a weekend on some bigger parcels of public land in central or even western Nebraska for Mulies or Whitetail. It looks like I won't be able to get out west until December, which is when the Muzzleloader season takes place. I have an archery tag, and my question is, do the larger national forest lands in central/western Nebraska get completely hammered during firearms seasons, or would I be able to get away from the crowds if I'm putting leather on the ground? Thanks fellas.
