I was wondering if anyone hunts or has hunted the San Jacinto wildlife area? I have always wanted to try waterfowl hunting (I hunt other seasons such as deer and pheasant, turkey) but never waterfowl so I figured this off-season would be the best time to learn about it and get some gear so I can give it a try next season.

I haven't hunted there, I hunt farther south in the Imperial Valley.
However, I follow the San Jacinto kill stats and pics on Facebook and they do pretty good.

I hunt San J… feel free to DM me with any questions. IMO the best way to get the lay of the land in the off season is to attend one of the volunteer clean up days. There is actually one coming up this Saturday. There will be more later in the year as well.
