What part of the world was your cabin in?

I feel your pain. Ours burned down several years ago. It was just a small off the grid cabin, but boy we sure miss it. Sorry for your loss.

Bear Creek fire just north of Healy, AK.
We were not there when the fire broke out. Neighbors sent a pic yesterday saying it was still up. This morning was different. Several friends have lost more and have less to draw from. My heart goes out to them. Thanks for the thoughts.

Sorry about your cabin. Heard that's a fairly nasty fire. Jumped Parks highway and shut it down for a while. The McKinley fire in 2019 started when we were working on our place. Luckily it stayed north and left us alone.

Sorry! I arrived at mine a couple of springs ago after the worst snow year in recorded history to find the roof on top of my pool table and the main support beam in my garage snapped like a twig.

Sorry man. I've kinda watched you build this. You worked very hard. I know that the pilot always flies over the cabin before we land. Is everything okay. Then worry about the bears.
We lost our home and everything we owned from a forest fire. With a couple small kids. Had to get a house built in 4 months. Winter.
Yah know, maybe that spirit inside you that drove you to build this cabin still has enough wood left to warm that spirit up again.

Yeah remember that one. Sockeye fire I believe. My beautiful wife n daughter both worked on that fire. Running supplies to the line
