I've heard about the Cabelas hardcover catalogs but had never seen one. Well, yesterday the spring edition was sitting at my front door. How do they choose who they send em to???

It works especially well for throne browsing. No water closet bibliography is complete without Cabelas big'n.

...fall edition's better, the spring's endless bass buster pages don't exactly rivet.;)

I've been a Cabella's customer for years and a Cabella's Club member along w/ carrying their Visa too. All I get are the soft copy catelogs, but I get plenty of those, don't you know... I just hauled a bunch off to the dump this week... out of date ones, of course... I guess some of us don't rate like others do?

Cabala’s works closely with the IRS and your employer. When you get to the point that your Cabala’s budget exceeds your family’s food & housing budget, they send you the hard cover catalog. It’s a right of passage for obsessed gear junkies.

...really?? Hell, they send me a bonus drum of metamucil with every 50lb hardcover... and I don't even have one of their usery cards.;)

I know when you write "Return to Sender, I don't purchase from 'Trophy Property' brokers" they tend to stop sending more than three. I still get their other crap, but it goes straight to the trash.

Guess that's it! I don't use that metamucil stuff, just eat plenty of red beans and rice and drink buttermilk... Oh, and my own venison chili works well too.
But like Acon said, I probably don't spend enough to warrant a hard cover. I'm still hunting w/ the same rifle since 1979, but I am refinishing the stock on it this winter. I've got it all apart, and, little by little, I'm sanding out the dings that it's developed over the years. Labor of love, don't you know... but it's bringing out new highlights in the wood.

I got a hard cover master catalog from cabelas a few weeks back. It said I was special, now I don't know if I can trust them if they are giving them away to every Tom, Dick and Harry. :(

Shocking that the Texan makes a smarmy comment about the privatization of hunting lands.

;)

I wondered how long it would take before the first Texan cheap shot was fired... Right on time!

Weren't the lands already private?

Waiting for the CA attacks now,,,,, ;)

Private lands, public hunting. That's why I said "hunting" lands.

Doesn't California have enough of its own problems for you to be worrying about? ;)
