Well said. I think there are more leftovers than there are actual bucks in the state. Didnt apply for the draw myself.

Sure are a lot of bears and lions though.

I didnt get my longshot tag (Ventana Wilderness Hunt) so I settled for D5 and A Zone. Forgot to apply for an elk tag.

Had a friend offer to carry me (he had 12 points and I had 6) and we drew X12. Should have time for couple of scouting/trout fishing trips and hopefully make the most of it.

Drew an X2 tag. Put in for it as my wife wanted to go back to the area. She doesn't hunt but she likes to see the sights.

Did some scouting over the 4th of July weekend and located these chumps 125yds away from where I was setting a camera up, I politely asked them to stay a few months til I can legally pull a trigger.

B zones for us but we had things ratcheted down because we are off to hunt elk in Idaho with the stick flingers.
