Well it was another great trip to the Boundary Waters again this year. I took my 12 yr old nephew this time, and he had a blast. The weather was really good except for Wed night it stormed pretty bad. We canoed into a different part again this year and it was just as pretty and the fishing was really good too! The one thing that was crazy to me this year were the amounts of crawfish in the one lake we fished in (Ensign) sp? You couldn't look into the water along the banks without seeing 30-50 at a time. We should have boiled some up, but didn't. Its now time to focus on the deer hunting, visited one of the farms yesterday and trimmed some trees and such, hung a few cameras. I'm pullinig the cameras out of my "honey-hole" this week and hope to see some monsters!!

Good looking pics! Sounds like you guys had a good time. Post some of your trailcam pics up so we can compare some Indiana bucks. They sure grow quicker down here than where I'm from in Michigan.

Looks like a blast!!! I have been thinking of doing something like this with my boys some time. Did you bring your own canoe or rent one up there? Crowded? how where the bugs?

Don, The flies were bad on Monday, but, the rest of the week they weren't too bad at all. The skeeters were also hit and miss this year. . .bad at dark for a couple of hours, after that very few. My Dad and I outfit the whole group as far as packs and canoes etc. Its a great time and your boys would love it ( you too). PM me if I can help in any way.
