Anyone else getting the email with the pics of a bull killed by a fallen tree in Western CO?

This think is a freak!

Pics aren't mine, so I don't want to put them up yet.

Interesting, I am and would definitely question the legitimacy of the elk being killed by a tree. If it is true its very cool. Great bull in the first one and the second one is really interesting.

That book cliffs bull looks a little fishy to me, but I have seen pics of a bull killed by a tree here in NW MT that a friend of mine found. That bull lived for quite some time before it died and managed to dig a 3' deep hole in the ground below its front legs.

Those would definitely be very interesting finds, if they're legitimate tree kills. A few years back I did find an elk calf killed/dead under a tree fall while hunting in Montana.

The Bookcliffs bull could well have been dead of old age, for he's definitely been around the horn a time or two. Maybe he was like some of us older codgers who's hearing and/or vision is slipping away and it caught up to him.
