budget tent ideas

Ebay........you can get top name brands like North Face, Mountain Hardware, Sierra Designs, etc for less than $200 and many times used tents are barely used / like new.
I know because I sell them on ebay. I find tents and other gear at swapmeets for next to nothing and flip them on ebay.
I have a personal collection for different needs, all for cheap except for a North Face Himalayan 47 that I bought new from Cabela's for $600

Bought this Garuda Atman for $2
And this North Face Aerohead for $10
Both looked like they had never been used before.

NOTE: next to my yellow NF aerohead is my friend's REI dome tent. We had 68 mph gust' that pulled up his stakes, drug him ( he weighs 270+ lbs ) and his gear inside toward the cliff and pond. I had to rescue him. Meanwhile, my tent was unfazed.

MountainSmith LT. Got mine for about 80 bucks. Pitches with trekking poles or sticks. Its better suited as a one person, but can fit two in a pinch.

I plan on using it all of September, and on later season hunts (once I get a stove jack sewn in )

Good choice for an inexpensive hot tent. If you can figure out how to maximize the exposed stove pipe inside the tent, it will have more surface area to radiate...
