There are hundreds of these little guys in the reads and cattails around the local ponds.

There are so many in some areas that it looks like yellow and black flowers over the top of the cattails...

I have seen some birds like that, but what are they called?
Yellow-headed Blackbird
Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus
(Icteridae)

Thanks guys...

There are I would say easily hundreds of these guys just in the areas I was walking.

Some of the patches may have 20-30 in a 40 yard area...

Looks like flower heads in the cattail patches... pretty cool... :)

I tried to find that bottom duck in my stuff, I will have to look a little harder I guess to find out its name, but it has a larger beek than any of the rest that I have seen... :)
