Saw these guys this weekend in Nevada on a mule deer hunt. Sharp-tail, Sage grouse??

They were pretty big birds, I'd say there was about a dozen in the "?Covey"?

We call them B-52's since they make so much friggin noise when they take off. Big darn birds, that's for sure. They always catch me by surprise and scare the crap out of me in the process.

So what is the story on the archery mule hunt? Sage grouse come in herds not coveys or flocks.

Deer story in the deer forum, saw some great country up there. Hopefully another NV deer tag will come my way again soon. Not sure if I'll apply for the hunt I had again or not?
