Biometric Handgun Safe

Didn't know there weren't any a determined kid couldn't easily get into. I use harbor freight keypad models. They're cheap and good enough to keep tiny hands off until they grow up enough to know what you're up against. There are kids you're never not going to have to worry about.

So anyway, I was keeping an eye on a rat out by the dog kennel. I called for the 13yo to go grab a shotgun and shells, because said rat had run up a tree. The boy returned carrying a 12ga pump and buckshot. I told him he's the only person I ever saw bring buckshot to a rat killing.

He comes by it honest. The wife and her feist had a possum up a tree. It had been stealing her chicken eggs. I was not home. She goes in the house and grabs the same shotgun. I keep it by the bed with a box of bird shot. She took one shell off the onboard shell carrier and blew the possum off the tree.

For y'all that don't know, possums don't climb very high. They usually tree on something small and maybe ten feet up. I like them because it's catch and release. You just shake the possum out. The dog wools it. The possum plays dead. You leave and never see the possum again.

Anyhow, she blew the possum off the tree, into bits. She said she was surprised the gun did so much damage. There was some complaining about how much it kicked. The only shells on the gun were buckshot and slugs. Fortunately she grabbed buckshot.

their website gives me a headache. but i'm def curious about these.

I picked up the 2 for one special, the kids' hands are too small to operate the buttons, I supposed they could smash one open with a little effort though.

But I keep my properly cocked Glock wrapped in a sock, next to the clock...
