well very awesome buck..... it appears not too be a shotgun.... the bolt on it is too small, looks too be a automatic rifle of some sort with a heavy non-fluted barrel with a leapold scope on it.... if I would have too guess its some retarded huge caliber like a .338, also looks to have a tactical stalk on it with a pistol grip, just some of the things I noticed....

I don't know- sure looks like a shotgun to me. Either way, awesome buck. Did you pass up a 28 inch buck on September 5th? I didn't quite understand what you meant about that

Not a shot gun. It is a .308. It is a Washington buck. I shot a 28 in 4 point on the 5th and then we found this buck on the 6th. The one I shot you can't pass up, but this one would sure have been better.

The gun was bought as a long range ground hog gun. The .308 is cheap to get, and we can play around shooting ground hogs 5 to 700 yd, and not dump a lot of money. You can see from the terrain we thought it possible to have a very long shot on this deer, and this is the most practiced with rifle he owns. As it turned out, the deer fed by us at under 50 yards. He didn't stand a chance.
