I have owned a 9" to 13" Harris Bi-Pod for several decades.
It works well, never failed me and has helped me make several one shot kills on game at longer ranges.

I want to get a Bi-Pod that extends out to 25" for use sitting.

Are the Caldwell and/or Shooter ridge Bi-Pods as good as Harris ?

They "LOOK" the same, and cost a lot less, has anyone compared them side by side with Harris ?

For the price they are great, they do not stay as tight as a Harris though. I am talking about the pivoting models you have to tighten the nut pretty often to keep your pivot from getting to sloppy.

Between my sons and I, we have all the ones you mentioned, the Harris springs seem to be heavier and overall a more solid feel. I have the sitting model you're talking about and have had good luck with it. In my opinion the swivel model is worth the extra money as well.

They are ok but not as robust as the Harris.
Make sure you clean them well after getting wet, the paint finish which is pretty thin only needs the smallest of scratches and they rust.
Cheers

As for the Swivel models, how do you guys that have them like them?

I have never used that type before but am really thinking it time to add one to my 25-06. Thanks for any advice.

I just put a caldwell XLA 13'-23'' Bipod' on my T/C Venture 7mm Rem Mag. I like it so far. It works great for hunting both prone and sitting, but im tall (6'1'')so you might want to take that into thought. It doesn't work that great at the bench, unless your shooting benches aren't very high.
