Last year or so somebody figured out my password and took over my “RobG” account. He offered for sale some top end equipment for a low price.
I’ve been around here for a long time so a lot of people knew me. Someone could have easily been scammed since they thought they were dealing with me, who they trusted.
Someone figured it was too good to be true and alerted me by email, so we were able to shut it down before anyone got scammed.
So even if you recognize somebody’s username it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s them.
