My 2021 hunt with Papa Bear reminded me of hunting E Montana mule deer back when there was deer in E MT

My last two trips have been into 18 I see more bulls in a day than bucks out east

I put in for Idaho for a few years without drawing and eventually spent the money on a car when we needed one lol. My brother and I are actually re-exploring the moose options right now. I am regretting not going when I had the chance. We are considering a DIY float hunt in AK in 2027.

A few areas faired better than others, but not many. The core areas that historically held a lot of moose don't anymore. Better than not going moose hunting, but its going to be tough for a while in many areas.
