Okay. I've already started typing up an extremely long winded post for all my hunts that I have coming up. The introduction just hit 4 pages in a word document. Originally my plan was just to do one thread for everything and kind of run it almost like a diary for the next 3 or 4 months starting with our trip to New Zealand coming up soon. Then I thought that might be to be a challenge for a reader to sort through and confusing with when something got posted, etc. so I thought it might be better to just post smaller threads of each adventure as we go. So thought I would run a quick poll on what people prefer.

npaden: I am thinking individual and then it gives us a chance to hate you even more!! Congrats on your tags!
The individual gives us the chances to see each one as it happens. Plus, your hunts are different locations, countries, etc.

Individual will put more hunting threads on which is great and some loser might wanna read about your deer hunt and not care about your sheep hunt

Thanks for the input. I think I might have figured out a good option. Do one big long thread with some of the background and stuff (like the 4 page long intro I already typed up) and then maybe just update it periodically with a few pictures and a link to the more detailed individual adventure threads.

For sure my sons Nevada antelope would have its own thread and the sheep hunt and Kaibab deer hunt. Probably a separate one for the New Zealand trip and then some of the others would be depending on whether I even get the time to hunt them or not and if I’m successful on that hunt or not.

I forgot the posters handle here but spreading us out with a couple posts a week was pretty cool! But don't do that it causes me to refresh this site to often looking for another post! Good luck with all your tags and can't wait to "follow along" with your stories!

It’s an amazing year you’ve got ahead of you. Looking forward to hearing all about it

I voted individual thread but I'll throw out a alternative. Why not a live hunt thread with lots of pics and the highlights then once your seasons over do full length write ups? You'll have more time to do justice to the recap, and recaps are nice in the off season when everyone gets a bit cranky. Either way looking forward to it!

Wildwill: We do get a little bit cranky during the off season.

As someone who has been on the forum for over 10 years who hasn't posted a hunt recap because I struggle so tremendously with the writeup after I get home, I have amazing respect for those who can post a talkie level hunt report. Your posts are the ones I enjoy reading and I would enjoy them in any format you chose to post.

I think the way to do it is with individual threads and the species/state in the thread title, but with a common first post in each summarizing what all you are hunting this year, with links to the other threads in that first post.

Winner.
