I have worked up loads on three different rifles for different guys this past year (168gr with 280AI, 215gr with 30-338, and 140 gr. with 6.5X284). The 140 gr was actually the hybrid target bullet that we tested extensively before shooting it at hair.
Much easier to work up load than standard VLD.
You loose a little BC versus the standard but it may be worth the trade off depending how far you want to reach out.
These rifles took 8 animals this fall and results were good.

Just received an email that the hybrids will not be in stock til the end of January...meanwhile I'll be loading some VLD in a couple of calibers.
