Beaver retriever

Took my beaver retriever out for a little shoot tonight. He was able to fetch 3. He has a heck of a drive and will fetch anything from birds to muskrats and beavers. Don’t know how i got so lucky with him

Awesome. We had a great golden retriever growing up that loved bird hunting, but when we started shooting beavers, she went crazy for retrieving them.

You just want to make sure it’s 100% dead or you are gonna have one heck of a vet bill!

Ok for you guys shooting them don't you worry about shooting around water? Also what kind of sines do you look for? I have heard of doges tranind to find beaver dens has anyone heard of that

No I don’t worry about that. Just look for chewed trees and lodges or dams. Pretty easy to tell where beavers are

That is cool. I have a lab as well that mostly does waterfowl. I was really surprised at her this winter when she retrieved a couple rabbits I shot out at the farm.
